Twenty-year-old Josh Milton won the AEGON GB Pro Series event at Roehampton, and finished as runner-up in Chiswick.
“I’m really looking forward to playing at the Commonwealth Games,” said Josh.
"I don’t get many chances to represent Wales, and this may be my only chance to play in an event like this, so I really want to make the most of it.”
The former pupil of Stanwell School in Penarth is based at the National Tennis Centre, Roehampton, and is ranked in the world’s top 500.
He first picked up a racket when he was given one for his fifth birthday. Since then, he has won a $15,000 title and has competed at Junior Wimbledon and the US Open.
