A Vale of Glamorgan youth football team has bagged a significant amount for a trip to Spain.
On a Saturday in October, children from AFC Rhoose Under 11s packed bags at Barry's Morrisons store to raise funds for their tour of Barcelona in May 2025.
The team will compete against teams in the Catalan region and experience a typical day in the life of a professional footballer.
To support the trip, the team has pursued several funding initiatives, including a successful bag packing event.
A total of £1,279.63 was raised at Morrisons, contributing to the cost of flights and accommodation in Spain.
The club and players expressed their gratitude to Pam Bowen, Morrisons community champion, all staff, and the customers who donated.
A spokesman for the club said: "This will help create memories for this group of children that will last forever."
