Barry RFC forfeited their place in the WRU National Division 1 Cup due to injuries.
The match against Abergavenny, scheduled for Saturday, October 5, was called off after 10 of Barry's first team players were sidelined by injuries and illness.
The option of using permit players was ruled out, as they would have been cup-tied if their parent club advanced through to the next stages.
Barry RFC's decision means Abergavenny progresses to the next round.
Meanwhile, Barry's Youth team faced Aberdare in the Cardiff Premiership Blue League after both teams won their opening league fixtures last week.
