Brynhill Golf Club recently held its Ladies Championship.
After a highly competitive game, Lily O'Carrell triumphed, defeating opponent Robbie Lee to clinch the 2024 title.
Both ladies, helped by their caddies, Sam Pascoe and Lynda Hewlett, exhibited skilled gameplay throughout.
Ms O'Carrell's long drives and accurate putting greatly impressed the dedicated audience, while Ms Lee played below her handicap and, despite an age gap of more than 50 years, staged an impressive comeback in the afternoon.
In addition, an exciting match was played between Andea Davies and Liz Taylor during the championship, commended for their high tension gameplay which was a 'nip and tuck' over the entire course.
Spectators were even treated to humour when a spider ran up caddie Lisa Taylor's leg while hunting for Liz Taylor's ball.
Play remained uninterrupted courtesy of favourable weather conditions.
The ensuing evening featured a meal and wine, relished by the club's captains, Ian and Sarah Clemo, along with 48 women from the club.
Ms O'Carrell, Ms Lee, Ms Davies, and Ms Taylor all extended their gratitude towards the captains, groundsmen, and catering crew.
In other competition results, Andea Davies and Babs Richard clinched the 4BBB, while Linda Hewlett secured the Millennium Plate.
The Welsh Dragon Brooch and GUW went to Claire O'Sullivan.
Lastly, the Texas Scrabble was claimed by Graig and Claire Stanton, along with Tony Thomas and Sam Pascoe.
