BARRY Town have announced four new signings ahead of the club’s first pre-season match on Saturday, an away game at Nationwide North club, Oxford City.
23 year old defender, Ben Margetson, joins Barry from Pontypridd where he played in 31 of last season’s 32 Cymru Premier matches.
He was previously with Cardiff City and Swansea City, and has spent time at Kidderminster, Sutton, Welling and Bromley.
32-year old midfielder, Eliot Richards, joins Barry from Penybont, having gained experience in a long career.
Originally in the Bristol Rovers academy, he played more than 100 first team games for Rovers, also earning a Wales under-21 cap, and later playing 60 games for Hereford.
In Wales, Eliot has played at Barry’s Cymru Premier rivals Pontypridd and Penybont in the past two seasons.

Goalkeeper, Liam Armstrong, is another former Bristol Rovers academy product, and will be competing against Luc Rees to be between the sticks this season.
The 24-year old has gained experience at clubs in the West of England, including Gloucester City, Tiverton Town and Swindon Supermarine, winning the Hellenic League Challenge Cup last season with Corsham Town.
Barry’s fourth signing is Josh Yorwerth, a 29-year old who played academy football at Cardiff City before transferring to Ipswich Town.
He made more than 80 appearances for Crawley Town, as well as earning seven Wales under-21 caps.
For the last two seasons, Yorwerth has been with Cymru Premier rivals, Penybont.
Barry’s six-match pre-season begins on Saturday with the trip to Oxford, before welcoming Yate Town to Jenner Park for a home game on Saturday, 13th July.
A Cardiff City under-21 team provide the opposition at Jenner Park on Tuesday, 16th July before English Football League Division Two club, Newport County, are the visitors on Saturday, 20th.
Barry travel across the border to play Hereford Pegasus on Tuesday, 23rd July at Old School Lane, completing pre-season with a match against Swansea City under-21s on Saturday, 27th July.
