Sully Sailing Club is set to offer 'have a go' taster sessions as part of the nationwide event, RYA Discover Sailing.
This year's session is planned for Saturday, May 11 from 11am to 2pm.
A variety of boats, encompassing different types and sizes, will be accessible on the day of the event.
Club members, with sailing experience, will be present to take guests on sailing trips in Sully Bay.
The Club invites individuals, families, and groups keen on trying out sailing.
Participants should be at least eight-years-old and expect their feet to get slightly wet.
Despite the sunny weather in May, the club advises guests to dress warmly and preferentially in water-proof gear, owing to the cool atmosphere on the water.
In case of windy conditions, participants stand the risk of getting wet.
Guests who own surfing wetsuits are encouraged to bring them along.
The Sailing Club provides changing rooms and hot showers for the adventurous ones.
The club hopes to give participants a dry sailing experience but suggests guests bring old trainers because their feet will undoubtedly get wet.
Further information is available on the Sully Sailing Club website.
