At present with four matches to play to end of the season Barry Central Bowling Club are leading the CDML Division 5 league.
We will have to see what happens next year when hopefully more clubs will be in the league as to what happens to promotion and relegation this season, all due to problems caused by the Covid pandemic.
Barry Central have an attractive bowling ground situated in Gladstone Park and all are welcome to come and watch a game of bowls, we play matches on Wednesday and Saturdays but there are bowlers on the green playing social bowls during weekdays.
The club, like others, is actively looking for experience and novice bowlers to join and play in our team, cup and league competitions. If you are thinking about joining a bowling club or just want to try a roll up then look at our special offer of 2 hours of bowls for £5.00 between the hours of 11am to 5pm (booking advisable, telephone number is on gate sign by bowling ground) or details on our Facebook page.
We hold a social evening on Friday's during the season and please call in to see us if you cannot make it during daytime hours to discuss membership.
Clubhouse main room hire is available with bar facilities, kitchen (disabled access/toilets), ideal for parties, wakes, business meetings, reasonable rates and we are looking for banner sponsors for next season.
Keep safe and enjoy exercise (preferably lawn bowling).
