THIS year’s Armed Forces Day was commemorated with a flag-raising ceremony at the Civic Offices in Barry.
Cllr Jayne Norman, Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, led the ceremony with a speech, thanking Veterans and Reserve Forces for their service.

“Armed Forces Day celebrations begin today for Armed Forces Week with the flag being raised on buildings and famous landmarks around the country.
“On behalf of the people of the Vale of Glamorgan, the flag raising ceremony shows our support for the Armed Forces of the UK who defended our country, the United Kingdom, and its interests.
