A COMEDIAN who supported Rhod Gilbert on his UK tour will be hosting a gig in his hometown of Barry tonight (Friday, June 11).
Mike Bubbins, 38, who has performed at the Edinburgh film festival and has been a regular guest comedian on BBC, will be performing at the Barry Memo with fellow Welsh comedian Elis James.
Mike promises his take on Barry will be worth watching.
He said: "You change your gig depending on where you go, and when you know the characters of the area and the places then it makes for a better show.
"I went to Barry Boys and I used to sneak into the Memo as a boy, so I’m looking forward to Friday."
Mike’s show – entitled ‘It’s not the end of the world (but you can see it from here)’ - has received rave reviews, as has 30-year-old Elis’s ‘The most Cautious Little Boy in Wales’.
The show begins at 7.30pm and tickets are £8 (£6 concessions) and are available from the Memorial Hall ticket office.
