IN REPLY to the letter from Mr Douglas about "Sea Walk", perhaps he should get his facts right.
For his information the demonstration was a great success with excellent media coverage and more than a thousand signatures, a petition which is still going on to date.
I agree that dog mess is a problem and I appeal to all dog owners, please, please pick up your dog mess wherever it is.
As for the "long suffering council tax payers", we dog owners pay that as well.
Once again I appeal to the appropriate department personnel responsible for providing disposal bins.
Can we see that more are provided as soon as possible
Where is the machine that was evident a few years ago solely to pick up dogs mess?
If it is the cost factor, then let's have more indians and fewer chiefs.
Keeping Barry Island clean is a thankless task but it is being tackled totally in the wrong way.
Using the Old Harbour is not a solution as disabled dog owners like myself could not get down there anyway and before anyone says I should not have a dog in that case, I had my dog long before I became disabled.
