Barry Town manager Kenny Brown had a chat with The News after Monday night's friendly, and explained how frustrating it can be as a manager dealing with players on and off the field.
"Sometimes in training sessions the players are quite brilliant and they listen to the things they are told", said Kenny.
"Once they are in a match a lot of these things seem to go out the window and players get dragged out of the position we want them to play in, particularly in midfield where we need someone in the holding role.
"We know we have the most talented squad in the league and we are desperate to win it.
TNS have the league in their hands but I am hopeful that they will slip up and that we can take advantage. I have told the players to just concentrate on winning."
He added: "We were glad of a break last Saturday and I have a fit squad of 18 players to take to Bangor.
We will travel on Friday so that we are well prepared for this important game."
Asked about the possibility of Bangor winning and closing the gap to 2 points, Kenny said: "I'm not even thinking about losing to Bangor, only about picking up 3 points. We are just going there to win."
There is pressure on Barry but there are old heads there, especially in defence, who have played at a higher level and will not panic.
Barry defenders are primarily Welsh lads who should by right feature in the Welsh non-league international side under Tommy Morgan.
Ex-Cardiff City players Lee Phillips and Lee Jarman are playing particularly well, as is Scott Morgan who is surely the best left-sided defender in a central role in the Welsh Premier.
Alongside him, for balance, is the best left back in the Premier by far, Gary Lloyd.
Andy York is also Welsh, and it is unthinkable that these players are not in the Welsh squad.
Tom Ramasut and Nathan Cotterill are all capable but sometimes lack consistency, whilst Jamie Jenkins has been called up before.
New Barry signing Leon Jeanne has all the potential in the world to make it to the very top but that is down to Leon himself.
His skills are incredible and only his fitness is keeping him from progressing.
Kenny wants 70 minutes at least out of the ex-QPR wide man but he is still at least half a stone overweight.
If Leon can trim off the extra pounds then he is going to be the lethal weapon that can give Barry Town a seventh championship and give Leon Jeanne the contract he wants so that he can perform on the European stage this summer.
"I know what Leon is capable of", said Kenny Brown.
"But he has still got to prove to me that he is worth a contract and that also goes for the players whose contracts are up in July."
