THE NEWLY formed Barry Dragons Tae Kwon Do Club travelled to Cheltenham to take part in the United Kingdom Open - and came back with five titles from their first tournament.
Three students made the trip - Nicky Limbrick, Mark Palfrey and Richard Palfrey. They entered five events and won them all.
Mark won the Korean Kata Junior Group and Nicky the Senior Korean Kata Group.
Mark was then back in action, winning the Junior Boys +165cm points sparring, with Nicky adding the Men's -80kg points sparring.
It was left up to Richard to make it five wins out of five when he triumphed in the Junior Boys under 155cm continuous sparring.
Anybody interested in Tae Kwon Do can call in at the Dragons HQ at Barry YMCA on Tuesdays from 5pm to 7pm, Thursdays 6pm to 8pm or Saturdays 5pm to 8pm, or call club instructor Colin Palfrey on Barry 406971 or 07786497038.
