NOW THAT the council has publicly announced that it has no intention of imposing an all-year-round ban on dogs on Whitmore Bay's beach, perhaps Mr Douglas (Barry and District, February 20 and previous), could forego his pen for a while and use his doubtless inexhaustible energy in the pursuit and revelation of that portion of the dog-walking community that has complete disregard for the hygienic maintenance of areas also used by others.
Responsible dog owners are as fed up with the dog mess as non dog owners.
Nobody presses for a ban on babies because inconsiderate parents deem the beach/rocks/residential locality suitable places in which to dispose of dirty nappies.
Let's get some perspective here and stamp down on offenders, not the law-abiding portion of the populace.
