THE BARRY Dragons Tae Kwon Do Club returned from Ebbw Vale, where they took part in the WKA (World Karate and Kickboxing Association) Welsh Championships, with no fewer than 15 Welsh titles.
First up was the team kata competition with Steven Haggard, Danielle Jeans and Abigail Palfrey taking first place in the junior section, and Peter Fordham, Mark Palfrey and Nicky Limbrick first in the adult section.
Mark Palfrey then took the Junior Korean section to add the Welsh title to his World kata title.
Novice junior kata was won by Tom Farmer, with Danny Sadler second and Ashley Cole third for another clean sweep.
The final Welsh kata title went to Danny Sadler who won the creative section.
In the sparring groups Nicky Limbrick took the Welsh title at men's 80kg, Mark Palfrey 60kg junior points, Ben Jeans 35kg points, Peter Fordham 40kg points, Danny Ryan 45kg points, Abigail Palfrey 25kg points and light continuous, James Morgan 75kg light continuous.
There were also silver medals for Richard Palfrey 55kg continuous, Danielle Jeans 40kg points, Nathan Lock 40kg, and bronze for Callum Coleman, Tom Farmer and James Morgans.
