ON Sunday, March 9, Barry under nines played their last game on the official Cardiff and Vale Calendar and came away with a win against Glamorgan Wanderers.
The remainder of the season will now be spent playing friendlies and catching up on postponed games.
The match was played in good spirits during a spell of fine weather, with Tiernan Scott opening up the try count for Barry.
From a quickly taken restart Tiernan crashed over the line next to the corner flag.
Barry were much quicker to the break down and secured much second phase ball, this aspect of play had been had been lacking during their last outing.
The chances of driving mauls creating any difficulty was greatly reduced as the direct the result of good first time tackles being performed by all players, this was also an improvement on the previous week.
A second Barry try went to Tomos Perry who dived over next to the corner flag in a similar fashion to the first.
A further try by Barry through Einan Scott saw Barry go in at the interval three tries ahead.
Barry continued in the second period with good driving and first time tackles counting, constantly pressurising the opposition into making mistakes, which were immediately capitalised on.
On one such occasion Einan Scott forced his way over the line after breaking numerous tackles.
Players were: the Scot twins, Joe Chucas, Liam Jones, Rhidian Mepham, Lewis Doughty, Luke Abbott, Tomos Perry, Luke Evans, Bethan Humphries, Teg Young, Ashley Jenkins, Liam Kirsch, Morgan Fogg, Ashley Williams, Morgan Howells-Davies.
