THERE IS just a chance - a slim one - that you have not heard of Brit Award winner Norah Jones.
It cannot be said that this woman has exploded onto the music scene, because her sound is too gentle for that.
But she is destined to make a real mark on the world of sound with her distinctive voice and touching lyrics.
There are 14 tracks on Come Away With Me, and it is almost certain that you won't want to skip any one of them.
The first track, 'Don't Know Why' is getting huge air play on Virgin Radio, after it was adopted for the British Forces Broadcasting Service signature tune, and it's obvious why.
With her husky voice and unstrained emotion reaching out from every song, Norah is a sweet sensation that will cradle you like a soft blanket.
Although each and every track is lovely, possibly one of the most hypnotic is the title track Come Away With Me.
It is understated and beautiful in its simplicity.
There is no question that you will love this CD.
Even if you have never heard of Norah Jones, take the risk and buy it.
When you put it in your player, there's a strong chance you won't take it off for a long time.
