A THREE VEHICLE crash took place between Dinas Powys and Barry in the afternoon of December 1.
Three fire engines with crew and appliances from Barry, Penarth and Ely attended the crash scene.
The fire service received a report of a road traffic collision near Ty Verlon Industrial Estate in Barry at around 3.52pm.
The incident was reported to the police shortly before 4pm and the road was closed while vehicles recovered.
There were no reports of any injuries, and the road shortly opened before 4pm yesterday (December 1), say police.
A spokesperson for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said:
“We received a call at approximately 15:52 to reports of a road traffic collision near Ty Verlon Industrial Estate, Palmerstown, Barry.
“Crews and appliances from Barry, Penarth and Ely attended the scene. All persons were self-extricated, and crews ensured scene safety.”
A spokesperson for South Wales Police, who also attended the incident, said:
“This was a road traffic collision which involved three vehicles on Cardiff Road between Barry and Dinas Powys, which was reported shortly before 4.00pm yesterday.
“There are no reports of any injuries. The road was closed while vehicles were recovered and re-opened at around 5.30pm. The circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.”
