Every week, there are many events on across Barry to provide entertainment to residents.

Here are just a few of the events taking place this coming week.

Swing into Christmas with Motown & Comedy

Barry Island Sports and Social Club is hosting an exciting Christmas party night on Saturday, December 7.

The line-up includes Deano Martini, Mr Motown and Soul, South Wales' top comedian Mr Lenny Dee, and DJ Mike Briscombe.

The event is a reserve seating event with tickets at £10 each.

For local delivery, contact Karl on 07821880854, or call the club on 01446-735173 to pay by card and reserve your tickets.

Only Men Aloud

Only Men Aloud will perform at the Memo Arts Centre on Saturday, December 7, at 8pm.

Their 'Special Gala Concert' includes Christmas hits and Only Men Aloud favourites, with a special guest appearance from John Owen Jones.

This marks their first tour in five years, with the Gala Concert being the first of a series of planned announcements by the band.

Tickets are priced at £87 for VIP and £42 for regular, with the VIP tickets including the best seats, early show entry, and a VIP sound check with the band.

Attendees under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Repair Cafe

Barry Library will host the Repair Cafe on Saturday, December 7, from 10am to 1pm.

Residents are encouraged to bring along their broken or damaged items for free repairs by volunteer fixers.

Visitors can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while they wait, and can even learn how to fix items themselves.

Typical repairs include basic bicycle maintenance, electrical appliances, computing assistance, sewing, ornament repair, and woodworking.

The Repair Cafe is always on the lookout for more fixers, so spread the word and come along.

Alfie Moore

Comedian Alfie Moore will bring his 'It's a Fair Cop' radio warm-up show to the Memo Arts Centre on Thursday, December 5, at 7.30pm.

The show is a prelude to the recording of a new series of his hit BBC Radio 4 comedy 'It's A Fair Cop.'

Audience members are 'sworn in' as police officers and challenged to decide what they would have done in Moore's shoes, with often unexpected and entertaining results.

Tickets cost £17, with an age advisory of 14+ (12+ at the discretion of parents for attentive children who are already fans of the radio show).

David Mitchell has described the show as "brilliantly funny" and "genuinely hilarious."
