A Police helicopter has been seen flying over Penarth and other areas of the Vale this evening (November 28th.)
Locals first spotted the helicopter around 16:14pm and were curious about why it had been deployed.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “The helicopter is out for a missing person, here is a statement for the incident.
Valerie Maillard, 77, from Dinas Powys, is missing and there is concern for her welfare.
Valerie was last seen today (Thursday November 28) at 11:30am.
Valerie was last seen wearing a grey woollen coat 3/4 length and a hood with grey jeans.”
Since this response Valerie from Dinas Powys has been located.
In a statement on X South Wales Police said: “Valerie who was missing has been found, thank you for your shares and comments.”
