Barry Round Table has announced the 2024 Santa Sleigh routes.
The sleigh, a staple in Barry since 1972, will see Santa and his elves traverse the town throughout December, spreading festive cheer and raising funds for local causes.
The journey begins on December 1 in Pencoedtre and continues to various locations such as Barry Island (December 2), Cwm Talwg (December 3), Barry Road (December 4) and Holton Road South (December 5).
December 8 will see the sleigh at West End & The Knap, Coldbrook on December 9, Highlight Park and Buttrills on December 11, High Street on December 12 and Holton Road North on December 16.
The sleigh will be in Gibbonsdown on December 17, Colcot on December 18, Cadoxton on December 19 and will conclude at The Waterfront on December 22.
Each route not only gathers community support but also raises funds that Barry Round Table distributes throughout the year.
The routes are sponsored by local businesses and others have contributed to costs of sweets distributed.
Santa will also make appearances across the town throughout the month.
Santa will also be at a free grotto at Barry Food Market within the Goodsheds on Saturday, November 30, and Sunday, December 1.
The Barry Santa Sleigh has been an integral part of the community, not only spreading joy but also fostering a sense of togetherness and community spirit.
For those wanting to keep track of Santa's whereabouts, details, and full maps of each route can be found at the Barry Santa Sleigh Facebook page.
