South Wales Police's efforts to increase female representation across all ranks have been recognised by Princess Anne.
The force was recognised at the Princess Royal Training Awards for its Springboard training programme, which has already seen a rise in female representation from 27.9 percent to 37 percent.
This recognition was given at the event which took place in London.
The awards are delivered by the City & Guilds Foundation.
Kirstie Donnelly, chief executive of City & Guilds, said: "The Princess Royal Training Awards continue to recognise the strengths of skills training and the value these skills are providing for employers in the UK and Ireland.
"We are delighted to see so many demonstrate innovation and commitment to developing, and investing into, their workforce."
South Wales Police was one of five Welsh organisations to be recognised.
Tata Steel achieved a revalidation this year for its apprenticeship programme, addressing their need to reinvigorate a new generation of skilled workers.
