Here are some of the events taking place in Barry between November 28 and December 4.
Gruff Rhys and Bill Ryder-Jones
Clwb Ifor Bach presents a special co-headline show featuring Gruff Rhys and Bill Ryder-Jones at the Memo Arts Centre in Barry on Friday, November 29.
Gruff Rhys, frontman of the Super Furry Animals, released latest album, "Sadness Sets Me Free," earlier this year. It is his 25th album in his career, spanning solo and band work.
Bill Ryder-Jones, formerly of The Coral, has collaborated with Arctic Monkeys and Graham Coxon. He released his latest solo album Iechyd Da earlier this year.
Tickets for the 7.30pm show are £34.50 for standing and £37 for seated (balcony only).
The event is for ages 14 and over.
Mayor’s Christmas market
The Mayor of Barry, Councillor Catherine Iannucci-Williams, is hosting a Mayor's Christmas market. It was due to be held this weekend but is now taking place on Saturday, December 7, from 10am to 2pm at the Cemetery Approach Community Centre.
This free event will feature talented arts and crafts makers and is an opportunity to find handmade gifts.
Refreshments sold on the day will support the mayor of Barry's chosen charities, Vale Foodbank and Shua Home and Sanctuary.
The event marks the start of Barry Town Council's Christmas events.
RnB Brunch at VIEW 62
Head to VIEW 62 on Saturday, November 30, for the RnB Brunch from 5.30pm to 9.30pm.
Enjoy bottomless cocktails, a meal of your choice from Rock & Scallop, and singalong fun with DJs and inflatable props.
Annie & Lolo Christmas Market
Goodsheds, Barry, will host the Annie & Lolo Christmas market on Saturday, November 30, from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday, December 1, from 10am to 5pm.
The market will feature a selection of independent traders offering a diverse range of products, Christmas entertainment, special offers, and unique finds.
