A candlelight vigil will be held in Barry to support women affected by gender-based violence.
The event will take place outside the Vale of Glamorgan Council's Civic Offices on Holton Road, Barry, on Monday, November 25 at 6pm.
The vigil will mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and White Ribbon Day.
A minute's silence will be observed, and a pledge board will be signed to show support for survivors.
Speeches will be given by survivors and allies, including Jane Hutt MS and Vicky Friis, chief executive of Vale Domestic Abuse Services.
Ms Friis said: "Last year, Vale Domestic Abuse Services supported over 1,000 women who had experienced male violence—each year demand for support is increasing.
"This vigil is an opportunity to reflect, to remember, and to show solidarity with survivors.
"We must continue to fight against domestic abuse, sexual violence, and all forms of violence against women."
Attendees are encouraged to bring an electronic candle and to dress warmly for the outdoor event.
