A large vehicle fire in Dinas Powys happened yesterday on Millbrook Road.
Yesterday, (November 20th) South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to Dinas Powys after reports of an accidental vehicle fire near Pen-y-Turnpike and Millbrook Road.
A spokesperson for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “SWFRS received a call at approximately 11:35am on Wednesday 20th November to reports of a vehicle fire at Millbrook Road, Dinas Powys.
“Crews and appliances from Penarth attended the scene and extinguished a large van fire using 2 hose reel jets, 1 breathing apparatus and thermal imaging camera.”
The large fire sparked a lot of attention from locals via social media.One online user wrote: “Hope the driver is ok and hope no one else got hurt.”
This user said: “We saw this happen. Awful to watch. Feel so sad for the guys working from this van.”
Another said: “Someone left the propane alight.”
