Four public notices have recently been issued for the Barry area.
Three of these relate to probates, whilst one concerns the proposed disposal of land. All public notices are accessible on the Public Notice Portal.
Land 'disposal'
The Vale of Glamorgan Council has announced its intention to sell two areas of land at Marquis Close, Barry.
Part of this area consists of open space land.
The disposal will be achieved through a freehold sale.
A plan detailing the land can be found on the council's website.
The council is inviting any objections to this planned disposal to be submitted in writing to Environment & Housing Services, The Alps Depot, Alps Quarry Road, Wenvoe, CF5 6AA or via email at C1V@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk (marked FAO Miles Punter, director of environment & housing services) by December 6.
Peter Joshua Ranson
A probate notice for the estate of the late Peter Joshua Ranson, formerly of 94 David Davies House, Windham Street, Barry, has been issued. Mr Ranson died on February 10, 2024.
Individuals with a claim against or interest in Mr. Ranson's estate are required to send their particulars to Nigel Jones c/o JMD Law, 26-28 James Street, Cardiff Bay, CF10 5EX by January 15, 2025.
Shirley Ann Mason
The second probate notice is for the estate of Shirley Ann Mason, who lived at 72 Tynewydd Road, Barry, and died on March 10, 2024.
Claims against or interests in her estate should be sent to J A Hughes Solicitors, Centenary House, King Square, Barry, CF62 8HB by January 15, 2025.
Anne Sinclair Dawson
The third probate notice is in relation to Anne Sinclair Dawson, who died on September 16, 2024, and lived at 106-108 Tynewydd Road, Barry.
Individuals with a claim against or an interest in Ms. Dawson's estate are requested to send their particulars to Nigel Jones c/o JMD Law, 26-28 James Street, Cardiff Bay, CF10 5EX by January 15, 2025.
