A Barry estate agent has been given a gold award by the Best Estate Agent Guide.

Chris Davies Estate and Letting Agents received the accolade for both sales and lettings.

The award was presented at the EA Masters event in London, hosted by TV personalities Alex Jones (The One Show) and Jason Fox (SAS: Who Dares Wins).

The EA Masters is considered the estate agency event of the year.

An independent assessment was carried out to identify the best agents in the country, with one million properties listed, assessed and analysed over six months, and more than 11,000 agencies judged.

Only the top 20 per cent of agencies are identified across the country.

Chris Davies Estate and Letting Agents' managing director Andrew Fenton said: "Being recognised as one of the best agencies in the country has left me beyond proud and shows our hard work and passion doesn’t go unnoticed.

"Likeability and trust are an essential part of our ethos across the three branches – Barry, Rhoose and Llantwit Major.

"The guide shines a light on the best agencies for sale and lettings and this gives our agency the winning edge.

"A fantastic way to also celebrate the five-year anniversary of owning Chris Davies Estate Agents."

As well as the Best Estate Agent Guide Awards, this year's EA Masters presented the People Awards.

Two members of the Chris Davies team were shortlisted in the final 12 nationally – Claire Fenton for the Best Manager Award and Sarah Lawrence for the Best Negotiator Award.

The agency is now one of an 'elite group' to achieve the performance standards necessary for the Best Estate Agent Guide.
