The former mayor of Barry has raised more than £3,400 for charity.
Councillor Ian Johnson, who was mayor for 2023 - 2024, presented the cheques to Mind in the Vale and 2Wish at an event in Barry Town Hall.
The money was raised through a series of fundraising events during his year in office.
At the event, Cllr Johnson spoke about his support for the charities and thanked everyone who helped raise the money.
He said: "I would like to thank everybody who supported me and our team at Barry Town Council in raising money for these two excellent causes.
"In my year as mayor, the team at Barry Town Council organised a range of events, including a craft fayre, charity quiz, acoustic gig night and mayor’s raffle amongst others, and I’m grateful to everybody who attended or contributed in some way."
