Last weekend I tried some sweet treats from Goodsheds newest dessert parlour ‘Obscene Desserts.’
The business located in Barry Goodsheds opened last August and has since been thriving as part of the Goodsheds community.
With a range of different options like dessert shakes, waffles and sundaes I was left spoilt for choice.
Here’s everything I tried at ‘Obscene Desserts.’
I started off strong and asked owner Antonella Gottuso what was doing well with the customers.
She recommended I try a chocolate brownie sundae with white chocolate and marshmallows.
For lovers of brownie chunks and anything chocolatey I would highly recommend this and with generous portion sizes I was left quite full.
Then Antonella made me a Malteser and caramel waffle cone which was in my opinion my favourite of the two.
The waffle cone was freshly baked and went down a treat and for Malteser fans I would recommend they indulge in this whilst at Obscene Desserts.
The price wasn’t too bad either! The sundae cost a total of £7.95, and the waffle cone came in at £8.50.
The business also caters for non-human customers and sells Utterly Mutterly dog ice cream.
Antonella is also introducing a range of gluten free dessert options for the business.
Business owner Antonella said: “I’ve been in the dessert industry for 5 or 6 years I used to do mobile events and now we’ve set up shop in a local area.”
“It’s been good, and it’s all about getting your name out there.”
According to Antonella this is what’s been popular: “Anything with millionaire shortbread or brownie or any of the waffles really everyone loves chocolate.”
Customers can order over the counter at the business premises in Goodhsheds or use the Goodsheds app and request table service.
