With Christmas around the corner many local businesses are starting to reveal their festive menus.

This reporter recently tried out the festive selection at local Barry Ice cream parlour ‘Scoop.’

Customers are spoilt for choice with a number of savoury and sweet festive treats.

Here’s everything I ate on the Scoop festive menu.

Customers can choose between two signature Christmas style sandwiches or toasties, both of which were amazing.

With generous portion sizes these festive treats really hit the spot.

Each sandwich comes with a side order of salad and crips and costs a total of £ £7.95.

Yum!

The white-hot chocolate was my favourite.

They totalled at a price of £3.95 each.

Still hungry? Scoop has you covered. Dessert of the day was a white chocolate polar bear ice cream.

The polar bear ice cream was priced at £4.50.

The venue itself is dog friendly and even provides ‘pup cups’ on the weekend.

“So, we’ve got turkey, stuffing, bacon and cranberry and bacon brie and cranberry sandwiches or toasties.

“We’ve got all sorts of lovely hot drinks as well gingerbread lattes, white hot chocolate, biscoff lattes, and we’ve also got polar bear ice creams. So, lots of treats coming up to the Christmas period.”

Laura is running Christmas wreath making sessions in Scoop on these dates: 28th/29th November and the 2nd/3rd December.

She said: “So, everything’s provided, and I teach the classes in here and so it’s really nice and Christmassy.”
