A polar bear has been spotted roaming around Barry Island.
The artic animal was sighted last weekend (November 2nd) making its way into local businesses and wandering down by the beach.
We are talking of course about ‘Bryn the Bear’, a 7ft tall mascot from Cardiff that’s been promoting winter celebrations in Wales.
Bryn whose been described as ‘Cardiff’s coolest Christmas star’ paid a visit to Scoops Ice cream parlour and then made his way down to Whitmore Bay.
Whilst at Scoop Bryn enjoyed pawing at the ice cream freezer which must have reminded him of his native artic!
The festive character has been out and about all over Wales and even visited the Principality Stadium earlier this month.
Bryn will be appearing in the hit Hans Christian Andersen’s musical ‘The Snow Queen’ which will be running in Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens December 12th to the 31st.
The Snow Queen is a fairy tale about a magical mirror, friendship, and the triumph of good over evil.
For fans of Bryn, they can view him in person at the musical.
