Barry’s iconic GlastonBARRY festival has featured in a Microsoft video game.
The game called ‘Flight Simulator’ allows players to aerially explore different geographical destinations and fly a variety of aircraft models from the historical Douglas DC-3 to the modern Boeing 777.
The game available on PC and X Box includes details of over 24,000 airports and has multiple interactive challenges, and aircraft checklists.
Barry gamers were left stunned last September after learning that GlastonBarry’s ‘Big Top’ tent was visible to players.
GlastonBARRY festival organiser Matt Blumberg 41 said: “I didn’t know anything about it and then it just happened a few people mentioned it to me over the last few months that it’s on there.
“It was a nice surprise a bit of a bonus it raises awareness of the festival and gets people talking and it’s just a little bit of luck to be honest.
“I’m guessing it’s a bit like google maps and they take photos of the area, and they did it the week we happened to have the festival set up which was good luck.”
