Two planning applications for the Barry area have recently been approved by the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
These applications were approved by the council in the week of Monday, October 28, to Sunday, November 3.
Amendment to centre plans
A non-material amendment has been approved for the district centre at Barry Waterfront.
This includes plans for the construction of 57 residential apartments and 1,885 square metres of food and drink use space.
The amendment involves a knee rail around the amphitheatre water feature and minor changes to the fenestration and elevation details.
Double-storey extension to side of house
The application for a double-storey extension to the side of a house at 5 Gibbonsdown Close has been approved.
The council has specified that work must begin within five years of the approval date and be carried out in accordance with the approved plans.
The materials used in construction, as detailed in the document received on April 3, 2024, must match those of the existing dwelling at the time of approval.
The silver birch tree and hedging detailed in the email dated March 11, 2024, must be planted before the development's first beneficial use.
