A BARRY MAN has been sentenced for the possession of Cannabis and driving whilst disqualified and without third-party insurance.
Darren Niblett, 46, of Barry Road in Barry was found to have 6.3 grams of cannabis in the village of Rhoose on July 24, 2024.
The defendant drove a Vauxhall Astra Index on Port Road in Rhoose, a village near Barry whilst disqualified and without third-party insurance.
He pleaded guilty to the charge of possessing a controlled drug of Class B and the two driving offences.
He was given a community order which will be in place until October 13, 2024, ordered to complete rehabilitation activity, and disqualified from driving for five months.
The forfeiture and destruction of the cannabis was ordered, and he must pay a £120 fine, £85 in costs and a surcharge of £114.00.
