Scouts in Barry are once again gearing up to deliver season’s greetings to people as the popular Scout Post project returns for Christmas 2024.
The scheme is simple to use – buy your stamps at one of the businesses listed below, stick it to the envelope, then pop your cards into the collection box.
The cards will then make their way to Smugglers, 1st Barry Scout Group HQ, off Park Crescent where they will be sorted ready for delivery before Christmas.
The final date for collection is Tuesday 10 December. Most of the cards will be delivered on Saturday, 14 and Sunday, December 15.
Members of 1st Barry Scout Group, are also selling stamps at 40p each.
Cards can only be delivered in Barry.
An amazing 20,000 cards were delivered in 2023, and 1st Barry are keen to top that this year.

“We are grateful to the people of Barry for their continued support of the Scout Post, everyone from the people who buy the stamps, the businesses who act as selling and collection points, and the army of volunteers who ensure the smooth running of the post scheme.”
