These old pictures will jog your memory! The following snaps are of Barry Island Pleasure Park from the 1960s and 1970s.
The photographs, kindly donated by Ruth Alexandra Hale, show The Pleasure Park in its early stages when plans for the log flumes were still being drawn up!
Iconic rides captured within the photos include "the Bobsleigh Ride", "the Jungle Ride", "the Galaxy Rollercoaster", "Pirates of Tortuga" and "the Whacky Goldmine".
During this time period, Barry was still a part of the Butlin's holiday franchise and saw many tourists and locals use the pleasure park.
Barry Butlin's opened in June 1966 and ran for a total of 30 years before its closure in 1996.
Did you remember Barry Island at this point in time?
