A local Barry park has been left vandalised with an offensive image carved into the grass.
Vandals have targeted the grass in Romilly Park and left a rude bit of graffiti carved into the ground.
The graffiti is highly noticeable and has already been seen by adults and children who use the park regularly.
Comments online were from a mixture of people both amused by the carving and annoyed at the vandalism. One user wrote: “The Barry equivalent of Corn Circles.”
Another user wrote: "Not again.”
Another person wrote: "Someone's gone to great lengths to do that.”
Damage to park grounds can be considered an environmental offence.
On its website, Vale of Glamorgan Council states: “Our council enforcement and compliance officers may issue fixed penalty notices to those committing minor acts. Police and community support officers also have this power.”
In Wales, the fixed penalty amount for environmental offenses is between £75 and £150, depending on the offense. Local authorities can set their own fixed penalty amounts, but they must stay within these ranges.
