A number of applications have been submitted to the Vale of Glamorgan Council for the Barry area in the last week.
Here are all the applications that were submitted to the council between October 14 and October 20.
Single storey extension to the rear of the property
A lawful use or development application for a single storey extension to the rear of the property at 9 Hillside Close, Barry, has been submitted.
The council's planning portal lists this as awaiting determination.
Non-material amendment
An application for a non-material amendment has been submitted to the council.
This amendment pertains to the landscaping strategy for the public open space area, which includes the omission of fencing.
It seeks to amend condition 1 of the planning permission reference 2018/00597/RES for the Cliff Top public open space on Clive Road, Barry.
Tree works
An application for works on trees covered by TPO No.04 of 2024 has been submitted.
The application seeks permission for the selective removal of multiple ash trees within a 100-metre section of vegetation along the railway embankment at the end of Clement Place, Barry, including the length of the footpath toward Lakeside.
The reasoning for the proposed removal of the trees is the trees show various stages of ash dieback and constitute a hazard to members of the public and to property.
The application follows complaints of falling branches narrowly missing children playing in the area.
