There are a number of events taking place across Barry every week.

Here we bring you some of the events coming up in the next seven days - from rounders to live music and Halloween parties.

The Carpenters Experience

The Carpenters Experience, featuring the voice of Maggie Nestor and eight musicians, is set to perform at the Memo Arts Centre on Friday, October 25 at 7.30pm.

The show brings the talents of Richard and Karen Carpenter to life, performing classic hits like Close to You, Top of the World, and Please Mr Postman.

Tickets are priced at £23.

The Goodges

On Sunday, October 27, The Goodges will take the stage at The King William (The Billy) from 5pm.

With more than 20 years of experience, the band will entertain with rock 'n' roll and pop classics from bands like AC/DC, Queen, The Beatles, Green Day, The Killers and The Rolling Stones.

Entry to the event is free.

Rounders

For those interested in sports, a free rounders taster session will be held at Colcot Sports Centre on Friday, October 25 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

Organised by MyRounders, the session offers an opportunity for those aged 16 and above to enjoy the game again.

The organisers said: "We have 3,000 players registered so far and maybe you would like to join them?"

Kids Hallowe'en party

The Cherry Orchard is hosting a free Kids Hallowe'en Party on Wednesday, October 30 from 4pm to 7pm.

The event promises a day of fun and frights, with games, treats, and "cheerful scares" for all the little ghouls and goblins.
