A new pop up pizza business is coming to the Vale!
‘The Knead’ run by Matt Clements, 35, is the newest foodie fix for pizza lovers.
The business will be primarily based in Dinas Powys however, business owner Matt said he’s open to doing other events in the Vale.
We asked Matt why he started the business he said: “In my opinion there was no good pizza in my area so Dinas, Penarth, and Sully are un-catered for.
“So, I had the idea to start a pop-up pizza business, operating under a gazebo.”
Matt explained how challenging times jump started the business: “So, I had the idea for a business when I got made redundant four weeks ago.
“I was a pizza making hobbyist, a couple of years ago I bought a pizza oven, and I fell in love with it and kind of got obsessed with the recipe and dough making side and realised its potential.”
“We also offer vegan cheese, and 5 other pizzas including classics like margarita and peperoni.”
The business has got a 5-star food hygiene rating and intends to operate on the weekends.
Matt says it’ll first open to the public on Cardiff Road in Dinas Powys with a date and set location still to be confirmed.
