There are a number of events taking place across Barry and surrounding areas in the next week.

Here we take a look at some of the live music, markets, and more that will be coming up in Barry and St Athan.

Fashion show with Beloved Boutique

Barry Yacht Club is hosting a fashion show fundraiser in collaboration with Beloved Boutique on Saturday, October 19.

The event, which will raise money for breast cancer, will be from 7.30pm to 11.30pm and will cost £15 per person.

The ticket cost includes a glass of prosecco on arrival.

Geology of the Barry Coast

On Sunday, October 20, there will be an afternoon walk at 1pm to look at the geology along the Barry Coast and some seabirds.

The walk will meet at the main car park at Barry Island. It is a rescheduled event that was previously cancelled due to rain.

An afternoon with Shane and The Korrados

Shane and The Korrados will be performing at Barry Island Sports and Social Club on Sunday, October 20.

They will be playing 50s jive classics and other music to suit everyone.

There will be a taster rock 'n' roll class from Mama D, followed by music from South Wales RnR Club DJ Mike and plenty of free-flowing tea, coffee, and cake.

Tickets cost £12 per person.

Hallowe'en crafters market

A Hallowe'en crafters market will be held at St Athan Community Centre on Saturday, October 19.

There will be 22 stalls and refreshments.

Parking and entry are free.
