A man from Barry has completed the Cardiff Half Marathon.
Dafydd Perry 33, decided to run the gruelling 13.1 mile run to raise awareness for mental health charity ‘Campaign Against Living Miserably.’
Last July he walked an astonishing 400 miles for the charity along the Vale coastal paths going from Rhoose Point and Porthkerry to Penarth.
Campaign Against Living Miserably is a suicide prevention charity that has been operating since 2005. It runs a lifesaving helpline for people needing support.
Dafydd chose the charity as he’s struggled with his mental health in the past. He said: “I’ve always struggled with mental health, so I think they’re fantastic and I picked them.”
We asked Dafydd how his day went he said: “I’m absolutely over the moon, I got there! Slightly longer than I wanted but I still completed it.”
Overall, Dafydd managed to raise an impressive £210 for Campaign Against Living Miserably and managed to complete the run in a time of 2 hours 7 minutes.
