Three applications relating to planning in the Barry area were recently decided on by the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
The applications - including discharge of conditions, assessment requests and for extensions - were decided on by the council between September 9 and September 15.
Proposed Rear and Side Extensions, Balcony and detached Garage/Workshop
An application at Monksilver, 62 The Parade, Barry for proposed rear and side extensions, balcony and detached garage/workshop has been approved.
The conditions for construction include that the work must begin within five years of the approval and must be done in line with the approved plans.
The council stated: "Prior to work commencing on the external facing of the development hereby permitted, a sample panel of a minimum of 1 square metre of the proposed type of materials shall be prepared for inspection and final written approval."
The council added a biodiversity enhancement plan must be carried out in full before the occupancy of the development.
EIA Screening Opinion application for development
Another application for an EIA screening opinion has been settled and does not require an environmental impact assessment.
This verdict revolves around a development connected with the demolition of existing structures and the creation of an apartment building.
The proposal includes up to 46 affordable apartments (Class C2/3) and a health clinic (Class D1) at Site A, and up to 34 affordable apartments (Class C3) with ground floor commercial usage at Site B.
The development at Broad Street Clinic, 130 Broad Street, Barry also encompasses improvements to public realm and associated infrastructure.
Discharge condition for change of use
Discharge of condition 3 for Planning Application ref: 20236/01124/FUL has also been approved.
The condition relates to Biodiversity Enhancement Details.
The Aberthaw House Hotel, situated at 28, Porthkerry Road, Barry can now replace its commercial Class C1 status with a Residential Class C3 status, enabling it to function as a standard dwelling rather than a hotel.
