Walkabout patrols were recently carried out by the Vale of Glamorgan neighbourhood policing team and Vale Homes.
The patrol in Crawshay Drive estate, Llantwit Major, identified areas where there were issues around fly tipping, graffiti and littering. During the patrol, which saw South Wales Police's neighbourhood policing team patrol with Paul from Vale Homes, they arranged for the waste and graffiti to be removed.
They were also joined by volunteer, Joan, who is part of Moreincommonllantwitmajor, a community organisation that organises litter picks, and she distinguished herself through her hard work.
The officers praised Joan and the Moreincommonllantwitmajor team.
