A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

SAMUEL CAMILLERI, 46, of Caradoc Avenue, Barry was jailed for 28 weeks after he pleaded guilty to the theft of four bottles of Courvoisier cognac and two bottles of Jack Daniel’s whiskey worth £470 from Tesco, Fridge Raiders and sausages valued at £9.55 from Tesco Express, washing products and burgers worth £64 from Poundland and goods valued at £28.99 from Home Bargains and items worth £61 from One Stop between April 1 and June 2 and being in breach of a suspended prison sentence.

JORDAN CHICHESTER, 27, of Runcorn Close, Barry must pay £1,014 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

AIMEE-LEE HANCOCK, 27, of Woodham Park, Barry must pay £146 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for using a motor vehicle on a road without a valid test certificate on Pencoedtre Road on April 3.

JAY SCOTT MCCARTHY, 25, of Hood Road, Barry was banned from driving for six months for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

He must pay £1,014 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

CARRIE BROWN, 44, of Aberaeron Close, Barry must pay £1,014 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Market Street on May 25.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

BENJAMIN WILLIAM TAYLOR, 35, of High Street, Barry was banned from driving for six months for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

He must pay £1,014 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

JAMIE RYAN DAVIES, 33, of Greenmeadow Way, Rhoose must pay £460 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on November 3, 2023.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

KYLE HILL, 32, of Heol Cilffrydd, Barry was banned from driving for six months for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

He must pay £1,014 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

ANDREW HOWELLS, 45 of Bassett Street, Barry was jailed for 18 weeks after he admitted being in breach of a restraining order on June 21 and being in breach of a suspended prison sentence.
