The Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid is hoping the new UK Government will help with the stability of businesses in Wales.
Paul Butterworth, CEO at Chambers Wales, congratulated the Labour party on their victory and the newly elected MPs.
Mr Butterworth said: "The public have delivered them a clear and decisive parliamentary majority."
He expressed hopes that this mandate would provide the stability that Welsh businesses crave.
He further recognised that revitalising the economy won't happen overnight.
Mr Butterworth said: "Closing the skills gap, growing exports, boosting productivity and harnessing the power of digital innovation won’t happen overnight".
He hopes for a better working relationship between Westminster and Senedd in Cardiff to develop the Welsh economy.
Voicing concerns, Mr Butterworth said: "It is essential that policymakers listen to business concerns".
He stressed the need for Labour to take fast action for businesses and improve productivity.
He also mentioned the expectation of businesses for early movement on pledges around business rates reform and improving trade relationships with the EU.
Mr Butterworth added: "None of this will be easy, and our new government should not be expected to do it alone".
He also emphasised working with both Welsh and UK governments to aid business' success and public service improvements.
