Barry Camera Club held its annual Barrian Cup competition recently.
The competition attracted 18 clubs and 70 club members, showcasing 90 prints on various subjects.
The event, which took place on June 8, was the club's 27th Barrian Cup event and was opened by chairperson Pat Hollis and mayor of Barry, Councillor Catherine Iannucci-Williams.
Each participating club submitted five prints from different authors for judgement by Nick Jenkins.
Each print received a thorough critique and a score out of 20, culminating in an aggregate score to vie for the coveted Barrian Cup.
The cup this year went to Tenby and District after they scored an impressive total of 95 points.
Bridgend Camera Club was the runner-up with 94, and joint third position went to Rhondda and Western Valley Camera Clubs with 93 points.
Apart from the main cup, two other awards were presented.
The Dave Cowdry Trophy for Best Landscape/Seascape print was won by Neil Holman for his print 'Storm Brian at Sunrise'. The Mike Lewis Trophy for the best print overall was bagged by Roger Daniel featuring 'Moorland Horses'.
The club expressed appreciation for the high standard of the prints and thanked Barry Camera Club members for their effort in making the event a success.
They invite those interested in photography to check out their website, attend club meetings, or join planned photography trips over the summer while they prepare for next season’s programme set to start in September.
