Two volunteer groups have come together to send a message to politicians and Welsh Water to stop sewage pollution of local seas and beaches.
Barry Action for Nature and the Watchtower Waders teamed up on World Oceans Day for a demonstration on Watchtower beach, which was recently rated "poor" in water quality.
Chair of Barry Action for Nature, Rob Curtis, said: "We wanted to send a clear message to local politicians and Welsh Water that we want an end to the dumping of sewage into our seas and beaches.
"Our marine wildlife is suffering from this horrible pollution but we must also remember that many of Barry's and the Vale's businesses depend on the visitors who visit to enjoy clean seas and beaches.
"We want the authorities to take action not to fob us off with more reports and warm words!"
