A CAMPAIGN to boost the creative sector in the Vale of Glamorgan held its first event yesterday, Thursday, May 30.

Caitlin Taylor, 22 from Barry started her own dance company Reignite Events to create more opportunities for dancers in Wales.

Ms Taylor held Reignite events first dance event at The House of Sport in Cardiff yesterday, which saw dancers from all over Wales attend the first event of its kind.

Sarah Williams, a parent of two daughters described their experience as a great confidence boost.

She said: “It was so good for their confidence, they haven’t stopped talking about the day. What you [Caitlin] have put together with this workshop is unreal and you should be very proud.”

Picture: Supplied (Image: Supplied)Originally from a street dance group called Chainfam, and dancing since she was a young age, Caitlin launched her own events company.

The company aims to create more opportunities for dancers in Wales to train and learn with others and feel comfortable to be able to take the next steps in their dance careers.

At the event in Leckwith dancers experienced excellent training in this workshop-style event from three outstanding teachers on the day.

Kane Silver, Poppy Tremlett and Jesse Thornton each brought their style to their session working with the dancers to develop their style and skills.
