It was also held on the same weekend a loud Tannoy sounded on Whitmore Bay warning about concerns for sewage in the water – a concern which turned out to be a false alarm...
A spokesperson for the event thanked everyone who took part in all the fun and games concerned with Welsh Arts and Culture which merrily went along, without a hitch!
The spokesperson summed up the event by saying: “We had lots of great bands and performers on Llwyfan y Traeth throughout the day!
“Thanks to all the great performances who entertained us.
“Also, thank you to all Welsh schools and community choirs for taking part!
“Lots of local schools and choirs singing on Glanfa Gwynfor was a beautiful thin to hear and the song 'Plant y Fro' was very popular.
“We had a great day on Barry Island.”
Gwyl Fach Y Fro Welsh Arts and Culture Festival is put on with support from Cardiff and Vale College, Vale of Glamorgan Council and Arts Council of Wales.
