A CAR crashed into a lamppost heading to Barry at the weekend.
The A4050 was closed in both directions on the evening of Sunday, May 19, round the entrance to the golf club for a number of hours.
Police were called at 5pm and posted on their Facebook channel at just after 6pm warning motorists of the disruption in the area.
No injuries were reported and no arrests were said to be made.
The road wasn't reopened until 7.40pm, when the lamppost was secured and the car recovered.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “Police were called at 5pm to a car that had driven into a lamppost on the A4050 just after Wenvoe Castle Golf Club heading towards Barry.
"There are no reports of any injuries and no arrests have been made.
"The road was closed for two hours whilst the lamppost was made safe, and the car recovered.
